ABOUT JASON

ABOUT ORBIT

Jason Carruthers is a dual licensed optician & orthokeratologist with special interest in scleral lenses for keratoconus. He travels extensively, training and advising practitioners across Canada to fit specialty contact lenses. He was born and raised in Windsor Ontario where he attended Kennedy High School and the University of Windsor.

He studied Ophthalmic Optics and Ocular Pathology at The School of Opticianry at Georgian College where he was awarded an honours diploma. In 1994 he received his license to practice and was registered with the College of Opticians of Ontario (COO).
 
He received advanced training in surgical co-management, refraction and ocular surface disease at the Lasik MD Vision Centre in London, Ontario working alongside renowned eye surgeons.

Jason is also a recognized expert in the field of cosmetic eyelash extension.

With annual continuing education and a passion for patient care, Jason strives to incorporate modern lens technology into his practice as Director of Orbit Contact Lens Institute.
